Overstay in Lao

Border to thailand

We left Tad Lo and went back to Pakse, to spend the days before crossing to thailand. So we took a bus to Ubon and arrived at the border. So I had to go out and show them our papers. The thais told to go back to take a stamp of Lao leaving the country. I walked back and went to the officer. He looked at my passport and said to me that we overtook 1 day so we have to pay 10 $ each!

So I thought that he just wants me to give some money and I didnt want to. At least I got very nerveous and was shouting to the officer. So he was very angry too, but he knew that he was in another postion than me. The bus was waiting for me for half an hour till Anja came and brought me away from that place after paying 30$.

So I left Laos very angry and dissapointed been treated so bad. train to Bangkok We arrived in Ubon and it was a small station, but a lot of people there. So I asked for a train ticket to Bangkok. No ticket awailable only 3rd class.

So we decided to take that one just to reach Bangkok as soon as possible. the train was with wooden seats and less space. In the beginning we thought, it will be o.k, but it wasn’t. We couldnt stay comfortable and and the journey was for 11 hours. So It was very funny which different positions we tried to have a sleep. But we survived this night and reached in Bk and took a room where we slept like angels in the clouds.

Rich and poor in Bankok:
So we planned to stay for two days and wanted to have a look in Bk. We took the underground and the skytrain and you can have a good impression of the city with its poorness and the rich society. We went to an Trade Plaza which was so huge and very costly and we felt like poor little mouses which lost the way from the fields. Big coloured spots and big screens and a lot of material temptations. Wow !!!!!
