Bekannt durch seine traumhafte Küste und seine unzähligen Inseln ist es für viele ein Top Reiseziel.
Städte wie Split, Zadar oder Dubrovnik ist wohl jedem ein Begriff. Wer schon einmal in dem kleinen Küstenort Omis war, weiß wie beeindruckend der Fluss Cetina ist. Er schlängelt sich auf 100km durch die dinarischen Alpen und mündet im Ort Omis in die Adria. Auf dem kristallklaren Fluss werden zahlreiche Aktivitäten wie Rafting oder Kayaking angeboten.
Die Quelle
Ein ganz besonderer Ort ist einer der Quellen des Flusses. Am gleichnamigen Dorf „Cetina“ befindet sich das „Drachenauge“. Eine ganz besondere Sehenswürdigkeit Ruhig, nicht überlaufen und viele fahren einfach daran vorbei ohne es wahr zu nehmen. Wer sich traut kann auch in dem kleinen Becken schwimmen gehen. Doch die Temperatur hat es in sich. Ein kurzer Sprung, Luft anhalten und gleich wieder raus. Taucher haben die Quelle bis auf 115m tiefe erforscht. Wie tief es wirklich ist, ist nicht bekannt.
Folgt man dem Fluss wieder Richtung Süden kommt man an den Peruća-Stausee. Hier lohnt es sich zu verweilen oder gar zu Übernachten. Abseits vom Massentourismus findet man hier sicherlich ein ruhiges Plätzchen direkt am Wasser. Wildes Campen wird hier im Gegensatz zu Küste toleriert.

The spring
A very special place is one of the sources of the river. At the eponymous village „Cetina“ is the „dragon eye“. A very special attraction Quiet, not crowded and many just drive by without realizing it. Anyone who dares can go swimming in the small pool. But the temperature has it all. A short jump, hold your breath and get out again. Divers have explored the source down to 115m. How deep it really is, is unknown. If you follow the river south again, you will come to the Peruća Reservoir. Here it is worthwhile to stay or even to stay overnight.
